How to Remember Your Dreams

Keep a notebook within reach and write before you speak to anyone — language spent on the day erases the night.

Record feeling before plot. The emotion of a dream is more stable, and more interpretable, than its story.

Note recurring figures. A person who returns across months is rarely about that person.

Set an intention as you fall asleep: one question, phrased simply. Dreams answer questions that were actually asked.
